This natural sand is a blend of coarse quartz sand, small pebbles, crushed cockle shells and with a splash of small sea shells. The sands sub rounded shape means it is kinder on bottom dweller's delicate tissues than a normal crushed media. Our Hebridean Beach Sand is the perfect substrate to make your Coldwater or Tropical aquarium more beach-like. Also great for Marine and African Cichlid aquariums thanks to its excellent buffering properties.
